Location
Jaycee Beach, one of Vero’s most northern beaches, is renowned for its pristine sandy shores and iconic views from the long boardwalk running parallel to the Atlantic. This was the perfect location for the type of portrait photo shoot that we were looking for. Wanting to capture a whimsical, almost cinematic look, the rhythmic sound of the waves, the gentle breeze, and the sand beneath our feet added an extra layer of serenity to the photo shoot
Gerrica's Grace
Gerrica, our muse for the photo shoot, looked radiant. Dressed in a flowing, white gown that balanced the hues of the impending sunset, she effortlessly blended with the coastal surroundings. Her infectious smile and relaxed demeanor set the tone for a session filled with warmth and authenticity.
Golden Hour Magic
As the sun began to set, the magic of the golden hour unfolded. The sky transformed into a canvas of colorful tones, casting a mesmerizing glow on Gerrica and the surroundings. One of my favorite things about Vero Beach sunsets is the dynamic color range. Due to the sun setting to the west, and Vero being an East coast town, the sunset is not directly over the water, and therefore more interesting. The changing colors created a dynamic backdrop for each frame, from the soft pinks and oranges to the deep purples that danced across the horizon.
Telling a Story
We explored various angles and compositions to articulate the story Gerrica wanted to tell. From close-up shots capturing the subtle play of sunlight on her face to wide-angle views showcasing the beach's vastness, every frame elaborated the narrative. Gerrica's natural poise and the scenic beauty of Jaycee Beach seamlessly came together, creating a series of timeless portraits. Lovely, calming, and cinematic, these photos came out beautifully in a way that is uniquely Gerrica and uniquely Vero Beach.
