Two of the sweetest people you could ever meet, John and Kirsten were a match made in heaven. These two were not just high school sweethearts, but have been dating since middle school. That means they stuck with each other through all of those awkward adolescent years and still came out of them together. If that isn't true love, I don't know what is. I knew, as soon as they reached out, that this was an opportunity to photograph a really special love story and I couldn't pass it up.
John and Kirsten chose two main locations for their engagement. The first stop was a sunrise walk on Vero's South Beach. We shot amongst soft pastels, pillowy white clouds, and gentle waves that only Vero sunrises can provide. All the while, these two were as cute as can be. From my experience, it is very common for people to ease into a shoot. It can be intimidating to simply jump in front of a camera and feel natural right away. That was not the case with this wonderful couple. Immediately, they just fell into their love story, giggling at each other the whole time.
Their second location was Downtown Vero Beach, amongst some of Vero's historic first buildings. Also present was the courthouse they would be getting their marriage license from, which made the location a touch more meaningful. This shoot was full of whimsy, love, and just plenty of laughter, perfectly reflecting this lovely couple.
